Join Alexandra's Light of Hope in Making a Difference
1st Annual Cornhole Tournment
February 5th 2023!
In 2023, the Alexandra's Light of Hope hosted its 1st Annual Cornhole Tournament at Springdale VFW, bringing together community members, local businesses, sponsors, and supporters for a day of friendly competition and fundraising. The event featured 32 teams competing throughout the day, along with food, raffles, music, and prizes for tournament winners.
The tournament was created to raise awareness and financial support for the foundation’s mission of addiction recovery. Thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors, and volunteers!!
Highlights from the tournament included competitive bracket play, community involvement, sponsor participation, and recognition of top-performing teams. The event also provided an opportunity for families and supporters to connect while contributing to a meaningful cause.
The foundation would like to recognize all volunteers, sponsors, and participants whose dedication helped make the tournament a success. Their continued support has helped the event grow each year and strengthen the impact of the foundation’s work.
Christmas Gift Program
Each year, Alexandra's Light of Hope proudly continues its tradition of supporting the Women’s Recovery Center (Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Center) (Hoover House) (Ellen's House) through its annual Christmas gift program. This initiative is dedicated to bringing encouragement, hope, and holiday cheer to women in recovery during the Christmas season.
2nd Annual Cornhole Tourment
April 21st 2024!
Building on the success of the previous year, Alexandra's light of hope held its 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament in 2024. The event welcomed teams, supporters, and local sponsors for a day centered around community involvement, friendly competition, and fundraising for the foundation’s cause.

Participants also had the opportunity to win a signed Pittsburgh Penguins jersey through a special raffle drawing. The winning ticket was selected based on the Pennsylvania Daily Lottery drawing, adding excitement and anticipation to the event while helping raise additional support for the foundation’s mission.
